Crocheted Hoooked Shopper Bag

Hi Shoppers!~
Apparently it’s a thing to crochet around hard-plastic shopper bags. I always saw uncrocheted bags around the atelier, but I never actually wondered how it should be done.. Until today. We just randomly came up with the idea to make one, instead of doing the things that should be done haha. My day started good because of this project, since it was so fun to do!

Kwang Soo The Giraffe!

Hello Giraffes!
I crocheted alot since my last post, the first of several posts, Giraffe Kwang-Soo!

The pattern of this cute animal, sadly only was used to fill up my patterns folder. I didn’t have the materials to make him at home, but the atelier did! I brought the pattern with me to a crocheting workshop when I got told to make it as an example for the store. Meanwhile also helping my fellow crocheters with stitches and whatnot. At that time i only got to finish a little part. But since the colors attracted me so much i couldnt finish it faster then what i did, in only a few hours! (Spread over a few days, ofcourse.)

Multi-Colored Squid for Charity

Hey Squids!
Here’s a little multi colored squid for Charity! It is a project i started at the atelier, and took me some more time to finish than i usually need. This was the first thing after long time I crocheted with a hook smaller than 7 mm haha. (2,50 mm) It took me longer because the tentacles are mind killing. It is a lot of work. First you need to chain 50, then single crochet 2 in every one, times 10. That means 1000 stitches total. (Unless you made a mistake and made 12 tentacles like me haha.) I know that projects are alot more stitches but doing the same thing over and over again is boring. I usually watch tv and crochet the boring parts at the same time, saves time with the series you want to watch and multitasking is fun.

Granny Circles / Mandala’s

Hello Grannies!  =)
I’ve been away from the crochet world for various reasons. (Meaning I didnt make anything at all) But now I’m back!
I started some little things, first i made some flowers (Post will follow later), and then some granny squares before I found a granny circle/ mandala pattern. (Alot of cool patterns with that, maybe a granny square pattern list will come some time, i have one square that is kind of 3D-ish..)

Easter Bunnies!

Hello there Bunnies!
So I did start the easter bunny project, but it turned out way different than it should be. (a lot less pretty than the ‘official’ one) I think that’s because the pattern is a bit wrong, it keeps curling up and in the pictures it stayed flat. Its kind of weird since i followed it step by step. But they did use bigger yarn and a hook of 4mm, while i use 2.50mm and yarn of that size.
Anyway i finished one and i started the other one, but im too tired at the moment to finish it, so it will come tomorrow. I’m not that motivated though. It has black in it and i don’t like it that much (Yes, colors motivate me haha). But my grey bunny wants a pink friend =3 so i have to finish it! haha.

Charlaine the Hippopotamus

Hello Hippopotamusses!

Today I started my second Charley the Hippopotamus! (This time it’s Charlaine)
The featured image is the first one. It was one of my first projects, and made me fall in love with maxigurumi crocheting, haha. This Hippo is from a book also called Maxigurumi. (Max + Amigurumi, which is a Japanese style crocheting.) Actually the only difference between ‘normal’ croccheting and amigurumi, is qontinuing tours without closing them off with a slip stitch. Often you should use a safety pin or little thread to remind you where the tour ends/ begins. Anyway!

Compilation of Easter Crochet Patterns!

Hello Easter Chicks =)
I have found some Easter-themed crochet patterns. Some are really cool and easy, such as a multi colored easter bunny! Will make that one, and post about it. (Don’t know when, I have many ongoing projects (post-less). At least before easter. This year, haha. I also have made egg- hats in different colors (Post will come later also)
I will probably make alot more easter stuff, and posts about the ones I make, but I don’t want to leave behind the ones I’m not going to make. So here is a compilation of Easter-themed crocheting patterns!

Ongoing Project: Fuzzilli Bear

Hello Teddybears!
I got a new Project from the Atelier where I work at. A real teddy fuzzilli bear made with Hoooked’s Fuzzilli! His name is Borzo and It’s incredibly cute, I can’t wait to finish it. I’m a little further that the top picture now. But I already got the filling so I can finish it! (To be honest It’s not that much work, but the middle part is boring so that takes me longer to actually do. I’m somewhere in the middle now so this part is almost over.) […]

Cupcake Family!

Hello Cupcakes!
Another finished project. I got a little package with a book and material from my boyfriend on how to make little cupcakes. Too bad they only had enough material to make one specific cupcake, with specific colors. I didn’t like that, at that time I didn’t like to make anything with a crotchet hook below 7 mm. So I grabbed some nice looking wool that I already had and started to make one big cupcake. After some nice complements on its cuteness soon a father cupcake formed by my wool and hands. Seeing that it looked like a father and a mother, I had to make children. 2 little cupcake children. Not as small as it originally should have been, just crotchet hook 7 with a little adjustments to the pattern and it turned out as I wanted.

Maxigurumi: Caterpillar

Hello Catterpillars =)
This is a project I started at the atelier where I work. It took me a lot of time to finish this, mainly because the round shapes were too easy and boring so couldn’t make myself do it, and I was busy with other stuff at the atelier too. I took everything home some day and it just laid there in a bag waiting to be made for a few months.(Awwwww) Then, not so long ago, I decided to finish it. Above’s the result!
